The Counterfeit Truth

Not all fraud steals wealth.

Some steal reality itself.

The Falsifiers were counterfeiters, impersonators, alchemists, and liars who corrupted what should have remained genuine. They forged coins, assumed false identities, manufactured falsehoods, and presented imitation as truth. Their crimes undermined trust in the very things society depends upon: authenticity, honesty, and certainty.

In Dante's Inferno, they suffer from afflictions that distort and corrupt their bodies, mirroring the corruption they introduced into the world. Having falsified reality, they become living examples of distortion themselves.

Bolgia X – Falsifiers explores the unsettling boundary between the genuine and the imitation.

Bulgarian white rose opens the fragrance with breathtaking beauty. Elegant, refined, and seemingly flawless, it embodies the appearance of authenticity. It is the perfect counterfeit: so convincing that few would question its legitimacy.

Mysore sandalwood forms a luxurious foundation beneath the rose. Smooth, precious, and deeply coveted, it evokes treasures, rare materials, and objects whose value lies in their authenticity. Its presence represents the genuine article—the standard against which all imitations are judged.

Bamboo introduces an unexpected clarity. Clean and structured, it suggests precision, craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail. It is the artisan's hand, equally capable of creating masterpieces or convincing deceptions.
