Apricot Nocturne Bead Embroidered Earrings

Soft apricot and blush tones meet burnished metallic beadwork in Apricot Nocturne, a richly detailed pair of statement earrings with an elegant, slightly unconventional character.

Each earring is built around a large handmade polymer clay cabochon, created to evoke the fractured, variegated appearance of stone. Layers of apricot, peach, warm grey, cream and muted brown give the surface wonderful depth while ensuring that each focal is subtly individual.

Above, a luminous pearl-like cabochon provides a smooth counterpoint, surrounded by intricate bead embroidery in antique gold, bronze, rose and softly iridescent tones. Small dusty-pink accents connect the two sections and draw out the warmer colours of the polymer clay.

The elongated, tapered silhouette gives the earrings plenty of presence, while the densely worked bead edging emphasises their handcrafted construction. Gold-toned hooks complete the warm palette.
