Mazarine Bead Embroidered Brooch
Mazarine has a wonderfully off-centre quality to it: polished and intricate, but with enough asymmetry and unexpected colour to keep it from feeling overly formal.
The brooch is built around a striking cream cabochon, naturally patterned with fine rust, charcoal and smoky markings. Deep midnight-blue crystals trace its irregular outline, while clusters of turquoise, metallic and glass beads create a deliberately uneven fringe along one edge.
Above, a rounded sky-blue cabochon scattered with coppery markings introduces a contrasting surface and colour, balanced by smaller blue and patterned accents tucked into the side of the composition. The palette moves between cream, turquoise, petrol blue, copper and gunmetal, giving the piece richness without becoming overly bright.
The bead embroidery follows the individual shapes rather than forcing them into symmetry, creating a compact composition that feels spontaneous but carefully resolved.
Measuring approximately 5.7 cm long × 4.2 cm wide, Mazarine is an easy statement brooch for a blazer, jacket or coat—unusual enough to draw attention, but restrained enough to wear often.
